History

Lodge Farm Business Centre was established in 1980 and is approaching its 30th year. Initially it was based in the old stone barns of Lodge Farm, which were no longer needed as the Company's farm became fully arable, as it is today. Since then the old barns have been renovated to a high standard and new purpose built units have been developed, continuing the theme of stone and red brick buildings, all offering a high level of facilities and independence. Unsuitable buildings on the site were demolished to ensure the quality build standards throughout were consistently maintained, and providing an ease of access around the Centre.

Lodge Farm is run by a well established family business which has been based in Castlethorpe and Hanslope for over 6 generations. They have further units at Lincoln Lodge on the other side of Castlethorpe, which are also built around redbrick and stone barns, developed and enhanced to the same high standard.

Philip and William Sawbridge are the working directors and have run the Company for over 25 years. They have developed a well organised and successful business based around the 2000 acres they farm and the business units at 2 of the farm sites.

Thought and planning went into the initial development of both sites, and continues with future plans for Lodge Farm Business Centre. This is evident in the quality of materials used in the construction, and on-going care and maintenance of the buildings and grounds.

Both brothers live on the farms at Lincoln Lodge and Lodge Farm Castlethorpe, respectively, and are actively involved in the day to day running of the Company.
